Music at St. Mark's Oakland, MD

The St. Mark’s Choir and Hand Bell Choir have a long tradition of excellence. Led by our music directors, Debi & Sean Beachy, both choirs play an an integral part in the Sunday worship service.

Both choirs are always looking for new members. Anyone interested in participating should contact our music directors Sean and Debi at sdebeachy@hotmail.com. (The Beachys also lead the Garrett Choral Society.)

St. Mark's organist, Michael Broderick, is a talented musician who brings his musical talents on the organ and fiddle each week to St. Mark's Sunday morning service. (Michael is also a principal in the regionally popular group Aurora Celtic.)

The St. Mark's congregation greatly appreciates its good fortune in having an excellent staff and members who commit their time and talents, week after week, to making such an impact on our worship through their music.

St. Mark frequently hosts community concerts and musical events. It is also not uncommon to have guest musicians enrich Sunday's worship with their talents, especially during the summer. Recent musicians include March Mountain Consort and Caleb Stine.
